Cecilia holds an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, a masters degree from Duke University. Her etiquette credentials are from the Protocol School of Washington®. She is president of her firm, Etiquette Matters, which is celebrating its 17th year in 2010.

Cecilia teaches etiquette in the MBA program at NC State University and has been an etiquette coach since 1997 for the University of North Carolina's Women's Basketball team (currently ranked #2 in the country) traveling with them throughout the country and internationally to Australia and Greece.

She is a contributing author to three leadership books, Success Is A Team Effort, Wholehearted Success, and Communications Coach II and has published numerous articles in trade magazines and business journals.
